Thanks to all of those who were able to attend last week’s TCT on the R&L Open Educational Resource textbook project! For both those who were and weren’t able to make it, please see the following slide overview of the project. We’d LOVE faculty to get involved in piloting parts of the book next semester. This might include using lesson plans we’ve designed to get student feedback on one or more chapters, or sending us your students’ reflections, writing, and multimedia projects to be included in the text itself. This is a great way to teach reading and writing as an active and collaborative process, and to give students an “authentic” context and wider audience for their work.
